Ok ladies now let’s get in formation. We’re very excited about the new addition of Queen B’s IVY Park collection to Topshop! The press preview took place in Topshop on Stephen’s Green Thursday 14th April.
IVY Park is the new active wear label co-founded by Beyoncé. It’s named after her daughter Blue Ivy and her hometown park in Houston that has apparently made her who she is. It mixes high performance technical styles with fashion led casual wear. This new brand inspires us to stay strong, healthy and happy no matter what your sporting ability or body shape.
The collection is definitely for on and off the field. It is fashionable active wear but the quality is incredible. It is strong and sporty high performance gear that doesn’t have that ‘just another sports brand’ vibe. There are simple designs, cuts and shapes with a black, grey, white, baby pink and electric blue colour palette. The pieces definitely inspire you to love your body with body shaping leggings running and breathable sports bras.

There’s no messing here. These are quality fitness pieces that can be worn for running, the gym and dance classes. They also have the uniqueness to be worn as urban street wear. The leggings have that thick scuba material which gives your bum that great shape and are perfect for jogging. The bodysuit is already becoming one of the statement pieces of the collection and I can definitely see it worn in festivals this summer. I love the caps and pool sliders. They are classic and really cool for this season.
I was actually pleasantly surprised about the price range. The pieces were very reasonable especially when you think of the price of some sportswear brands. Most of the tops and shorts were between €20 and €35. The sweaters and hoodies started at €39. The pool sliders were €28 and most of the leggings were around €54. Sizes range from XXS-XL.
