The launch of the Dublin Fashion Festival took place in the magnificent surroundings of Dublin’s City Hall and it was certainly a night that will be remembered by all!
The launch succeeded in exhibiting some of Dublin’s finest fashion and this year’s upcoming festival themes were debuted, giving an insight into what is to come in the festival which will run 7th – 13th of September. The night was a major success for everyone involved.
The wonderful Pippa O’Connor Ormond, the face of this year’s festival was in attendance on the night and introduced the fashion show. There was a great buzz in the venue for the duration of the launch and it was clear that all guests had an enjoyable time.
Over 350 people attended the launch last night and among them were many familiar faces such as models, designers and fashion bloggers. Guests enjoyed drinks from The Meeting House whilst socialising throughout the event.
Each lucky guest got an amazing Dublin Fashion Festival Goodie Bag, containing many items from some of the best retail offering in the city! The bags contained items ranging from vouchers to make up, giving the bags a luxurious feel. They were to say the least, like gold dust!
There was also a competition held for best dressed male and female on the night, which were judged by Ciara O’Doherty and Rob Kenny. Ciara chose the best dress female and Rob chose best dressed male. The lucky winners were Connor Merriman and Morganna Murphy. They each won a €200 shopping voucher, one for Arnotts and one for Brown Thomas.
There was also a competition for best tweet of the night which came from blogger Kassiani of the blog “Just Kassi”.
