UNITED COLORS OF BENETTON WINTER 2017 COLLECTION
United Colors of Benetton’s Winter 2017 collection is a fusion of Nordic essential styles interspersed with colourful knitwear. Welcome Winter!
United Colors of Benetton’s urban winter style is one of versatile elegance. Unusual cuts, yarns of different weights and structures, minimal stripes or black and white tapestry flowers form the background of a ready to wear collection.
Outerwear ranges from the spectacular cream colour robe coat with black trims to military coats with faux-astrakhan details, and single-breasted houndstooth overcoats.
Add spice to the base with floral silk shirts, a soft touch polo neck and a colour block scarf. The blazer, cropped jacket, circle skirt and tailored trousers in large and small houndstooth or Prince of Wales checks combine for an “heritage look”.
On trend with the 70’s feel, blue and orange-red wool coats feature wide lapels, faux-fur collars and fake horn buttons.
United Colors of Benetton’s dress up range features the elegance and clean lines of a total look kimono pyjama in gold-trimmed black satin to pair with a slash-sleeved blouse and a French beret, this winter’s hottest accessory.
Casual but chic, the jacquard sweater with golden details and palazzo-effect tuxedo pants combine for a fresh look that’s taken up a step with an ankle-strap velvet pump and shiny-effect flat shoulder bag.
Scandinavian style, folk motifs, the colours of the forest and flashing northern lights prevail in United Colors of Benetton’s Winter 17 collection. Must haves are the mouliné wool cardigan to wear loose over cropped jeans, and the long ribbed gilet with waist sash to pair with the tie-collar shirt. The versatile turtleneck jacquard maxi-dress is worn with suede booties for a cool look.
The Great North is the theme of a look comprising faux-leather biker jacket, suede gloves and maxi skirt worn with a ribbon shirt and ankle boots.
In total contrast with the cool tones of the theme are Shetland wool cable pullovers, stripy and block colour sweaters in mint, strawberry and lilac, cashmere blend sweaters with floral inlays, and a two-piece with bouclé blouse and cropped check pants.
The trend for winter 2017 is the puffer jacket to wear every day, even with a long dress. United Colors of Benetton has designed a cool puffer jacket that’s light, reversible and in 100% goose down. Colours are red, blue and green with contrast colour linings and college style cuffs and welts.
It may be business attire, but the look is casual – a classic gunmetal grey blazer with arrow lapels, worn with a wool tie and coordinated waistcoat. Relaxed is the word for the boiled wool jacket paired with a light cashmere blend sweater, to brighten with a pop of colour from a thin turtleneck in blue, red or yellow.
For gala evenings, United Colors of Benetton has designed an elegant, minimal look for men – a slim-fitting smoky grey suit, white shirt and bow tie. Narrow, pointed lapels give the single-breasted jacket an up to date look.
From the seas of the north to the world’s cities, the United Colors of Benetton man has a timeless, masculine style. Like the vintage military style bomber jacket, the faux-fur lined parkas, hooded jackets, check shirts and high white sneakers – all male fashion cult pieces.
United Colors of Benetton knitwear explodes in shades of colour from cream to teal, black to light grey. Patterns are classic, with sweaters in “Benetton-style stripes”, in Italian Shetland, with Norwegian motifs or folk jacquard inserts. Completing the look are indigo or velvet jeans, and brick red or olive green cord pants worn with leather lace-up boots or desert boots.
The Winter 17 collection also includes sporty casual apparel – 3D printed sweatshirts, drawstring joggers with contrast colour details, hoodies and top stitched jeans with a masculine, essential feel all in shades of aubergine and grey.
As in the women’s range, 100% goose down puffer jackets are light, warm, reversible and colourful. Colours are olive, red and cobalt, to mix with vivid colour cashmere blend turtlenecks.
