Renowned for her stunning innovative prints and high quality couture finish Jennifer Rothwell is currently the only designer to manufacture and digital print 100% of all her designs in Ireland. In 2008, passionate about the Made in Ireland Campaign Jennifer opened in her own atelier in Dublin where she manufactures all her designs. As her garments are printed and manufactured in the studio the carbon footprint of the garments are greatly reduced, a fact that Jennifer is extremely proud of.
In 2010, she was appointed as a Peer Fashion Mentor for the DDCOI and Dublin LEO. Since 2012, Jennifer has launched her ongoing fashion workshops to help educate the next generation of fashion designers. In 2014, Jennifer opened her flagship boutique in Powercourt Townhouse in the Creative Quarter which showcases Jennifer’s own collection while also supporting other fellow Irish fashion, accessory and jewellery designers that that also exclusively make in Ireland.
Being Passionate about her Irish heritage and culture, in 2015, Jennifer wanted to help reignite the Celtic Revival of the 19th and 20th centuries in the 21st century. To celebrate Irish artists, folklore, legends and traditions through fashion in a modern and contemporary way. A result of this was her varied range of her Harry Clarke, Book Of Kells and 1916 GPO inspired prints which received worldwide acclaim. Jennifer Rothwell’s One Shoulder Stain glass Printed Gown was wore on the Red Carpet at the Oscar’s. Tomm Moore’s Wife Liselott Olofsson who directed Song of the Sea which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. In 2016, the National Museum of Ireland purchased 3 of Jennifer’s printed designs for their Contemporary Design Collection a great endorsement of Rothwell’s work.
Jennifer lives and breathes the Made in Ireland Campaign. Her passion started back in 2008 and continues to grow each day!
